It started with a simple idea:
help staffing companies move faster.
RealTime Services was founded in 1994 around a challenge that staffing companies still understand today: the work moves quickly, but payroll, cash flow, administration, and back-office operations can slow a business down.
The name RealTime reflected the original mission—help clients access the resources they needed quickly and process payroll in real time. As staffing changed, RealTime evolved with it.
What began with funding and back-office support has grown into a broader set of workforce services supported by RealStaff, the technology we built to connect the operation.

What started in 1994 as a way to help staffing companies move faster has grown into a broader service and technology platform built around the staffing industry.
RealStaff begins
In 2000, RealTime began building its proprietary software platform, RealStaff, to support payroll, HR, receivables, compliance, and core back-office operations.
RealTime PEO is founded
RealTime expanded its workforce support with the launch of RealTime PEO, bringing HR, payroll administration, benefits, workers’ compensation support, and related workforce services closer together.
The next generation of RealStaff
In 2016, RealTime began building the new version of RealStaff—the modern platform that expanded into ATS, scheduling, mobile app functionality, and a more connected workforce experience.
One connected partner
Today, RealTime Services combines workforce services with the current RealStaff platform to connect recruiting, scheduling, communication, compliance, payroll, receivables, and operations in one ecosystem.
